She took a slice of humble pie earlier this week when she publicly congratulated ex-boyfriend Louis Smith on his silver medal win at the Olympic Games.

And Lucy Mecklenburgh no doubt showed the gymnast, 27, what he's missing as she posed for a sexy selfie on Monday evening after praising the athlete for his impressive achievement.  

Flaunting her incredible figure, the former TOWIE star, 24, slipped into a racy baby blue silk negligee in the sizzling Instagram snap.

The reality star's eye-catching bedtime look by Boux Avenue included sheer lace white panels above the bust. 

The former TOWIE star styled her shoulder-length chestnut tresses into a soft wave as she let her flawless complexion shine through - amping up her sex appeal with a sultry smokey eye.

Lucy's snap comes after she wished her former beau of 14 months congratulations following his silver medal win at the Olympics on Sunday - in spite of their rather public break-up earlier this year.

The 24-year-old fitness enthusiast shared the well wishes with her 1.63million Twitter followers following her ex-boyfriend's victory, in which she gushed that she was 'Proud to be British'. 

Lucy was devastated following her split from the hunky sportsman, who confirmed he had ended the romance when he told OK! magazine: 'It was hard, but if it’s not right, it’s not right and I wanted to make the decision to end it sooner rather than later.'

On Sunday night, Louis was pipped to the post by fellow gymnast Max Whitlock, who scooped the gold after which he was slammed for failing to congratulate his teammate - yet Lucy was quick to congratulate both.

Initially Lucy merely sent a note to Max as she wrote: 'WOW!!!!!!! Congratulations @maxwhitlock1 absolutely incredible! gold on floor #Rio2016 #Olympics #Gold #gymnastics'.

Proving the pair are still amicable, Lucy's kind Tweet ignored the views of many as viewers blasted a teary Louis for his failure to congratulate his teammate. 

The Peterborough-born hunk was deemed 'classless' while some viewers slammed his 'Terrible sportsmanship'.

Louis won the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was later awarded with a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

Lucy and Louis' relationship came to a sad close when he ended things with the brunette beauty. although he made an effort to still be on good terms with the former reality star. 

He explained: ‘We still talk. Time definitely heals all wounds so we chat now and again. I’d say we’re borderline friends, which is nice and what I always wanted.'

The athlete confirmed the relationship demise on Twitter and was even said to have celebrated his newly-single status by penning a post to his Official Facebook page that read: 'Damn it feels good to be single. Far too busy to really feel how good it feel but I'm not complaining. Ha.'

He is however, still up for dating and even signed up on the on-line dating app Tinder a mere month after the split.

Although, his recent quest to find romance has seemingly attracted the wrong women.

He said: ‘You can spot people who want to know you for the perks and those who genuinely want to get to know you.'

While he isn't looking for anything serious just yet, he does hope on settling down in the future, saying: 'I’m happy focusing on my gym now but I’d love to settle down one day.’
